typographic designs

Ashley Lewis - These beer bottle labels are a very simple typographic design, using the characters to create different faces. The concept for this is really good and i want to use this idea of simple typographic design for my own work.

Hyperakt 'Downtime' - These business cards have a really nice personal and handmade approach to them. I chose to look at this piece because of the logo and the colour, the logo has a hand rendered style to it without being messy and looks almost hand printed, this is the quality i want to adopt for my work. Also i think the two colours work really well together, i want to be more brave about using lots of different colours as i love bold bright designs.

Hyperakt, 'For Obama' - as soon as i saw these poster campaigns I though 'hierarchy' which we looked at in the typography module. I though these campaigns were really successful in promoting a positive message by using type and colour.

Hyperakt, 'Dosage Consulting' - This website design by Hyperakt is flash based and is designed around kinetic typography. It was just a nice example of a typographic based website which i am considering to propose for my current brief.

Carina Tous - a simple looking typeface looking hand rendered and I think having the textured stock has given the piece a real tactile quality that works. Stock is something I'm exploring more into in this brief as i think its a big factor in designs.

Wim Crouwell 'Edgar Fernhout' - Normally I'm not rally a fan of typography like this in an almost stencil style but i really like the way this has been put together, It dose just look like shapes but somehow its still completely legible.

In my origional brief i talked about how i wanted to explore more into paper engineering and iv kind of lost track of it already so im just pulling this up to show the idea of handmade typography and paper engineering. and that i love green
