All the contextual stuff you have looked at is relevant to your theme and runs with one kind of style - a Saul Bass theme. I can see this working really well, and your example show how that style can be used in today's film/titles/idents design, without looking to dated!
You seem to have a clear direction that you want to follow and know what films should be included in your season. You have a strong visual starting point as your vampire themes have a very iconic and recognisable style. Your research into Saul Bass' work demonstrates a good contextual knowledge. The only thing that may need clarifying is the target audience. Plus Im sure it would be useful to look at some more idents, specifically and see how they are structured and how a large amount of information can be delivered in 10 seconds. Also how are you going to recreate the atmosphere of the film, maybe using the timing?
